Lucky or Just Plain Good?

Winter Ravens Preview The Ravens came from behind again capping off a trip to windy Soldier Field with another heartstopping victory. It seemed that all hope was doomed after Chicago Bears backup quarterback  Andy Dalton scored on a 49-yard pass to  Marquise Goodwin . With the help of a crucial pass interference call, and the late game heroics of Ravens second-string quarterback Tyler Huntley , Baltimore eeked out a 16-13 win. Baltimore's former league MVP, Lamar Jackson was sidelined with an un-COVID related illness leaving the already shorthanded Ravens more depleted.  Snoop, as they call him in Baltimore, Tyler Huntley was brought in as an undrafted free agent from Utah following the 2020 draft. The Ravens believe he fits the RPO offensive scheme that they can plug and play if Lamar can't play. As we saw on Sunday Huntley did enough as a game manager to get the job done, completing 26-36 with 219 passing yards and an interception. Huntley also utilized his legs in key...

AP Photo/Frank Victores  If you were to tell Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh that his mighty men would be 5-1 through six games before the season, I bet he would have no complaints. While the Ravens haven't done it without miraculous comebacks and kicks, the team is as battle tested as any when it comes to handling adversity. A franchise that has always prided itself on having depth, Baltimore has been put to the test with a league high 16 players on the IR list. Tough news recently surfaced that the Ravens will not be getting back all-pro left tackle  Ronnie Stanley , as he underwent season-ending surgery on his ankle.  All things considered, the Ravens sit atop the  AFC North standings at 5-1. An important matchup against the high firepowered Cinicinatti Bengals looms for Sunday at 1pm at M&T Bank Stadium with first place on the line. The young phenom quarterback  Joe Burrow  heads into Baltimore with an impressive start to the 2021 season,...

Image; Baltimore Ravens Photographer  Shawn Hubbard Following the Ravens dramatic upset of the Kansas City Chiefs on SNF on September 19, the Ravens had a new outlook on the injury-plagued season. The loss of Left Tackle  Ronnie Stanley  seemed to have doomed Baltimore at least shortterm after Raiders Max Crosby sacked Jackson three times on opening night. Following late game heroics from Quarterback Lamar Jackson who converted a critical fourth down, the Ravens defeated the Chiefs for the first time in the Jackson Era. They say their is no moral victory in the NFL, nobody feels bad for a depelted squad, you can't make that an excuse. The next man up mentality has been part of Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh 's preaching since he arrived in Baltimore. It took late game Heroics once again for the Ravens in Detroit in week 3, this time on the record-setting foot of the NFL's recognized best kicker. Lamar Jackson lobbed a pass on...
